Various conditions at various spots

El Yaque
The main spot is El Yaque located in the south of the Island with flat water conditions, a wide area of shallow water and side shore wind from the left. Windsurfer and kiteboarders are separated in different areas. The availability of taxi boats to an upwind beach makes long and nice downwind sessions possible.
Nevertheless starting and landing is possible during the whole day in El Yaque in front of the Premium Kiteboarding center.
Premium Kiteboarding offers classes, supervision, rental, taxi boats, storage and safaris. The specially developed teaching system of Premium Kiteboarding makes it possible to learn how to do kiteboarding within 1 – 3 hours of water time and ca. ½ hour of theory.

Coche Island
For advanced riders a trip to the nearby island Coche is definitely worth it. On Coche the wind is offshore, the water is flat as glass and on the white, sandy beach is a nice and relaxed atmosphere.
For high-level kiteboarders there are some sliders in the water the month following the PKRA Word-Cup in April.

Cubagua Island
Beside Coche also the sister island Cubagua is a nice opportunity for a day trip from Margarita. Usually you find perfect conditions for advanced kiteboarders. The water is turquoise and the constant wind comes in a offshore to side-offshore direction.
The boat transfer takes about an hour. Trips can be organized by the various kite centers in El Yaque.

Playa La Restinga and Macanao
Macanao offers lonely beaches with light swell and without any infrastructure. The spots are only good during the high wind season from February until May. Premium Kiteboarding takes advanced kiteboarders on safaris to Macanao, often in combination with a barbecue and/or a visit in the Laguna La Restinga National Park.
